Accounts Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounts Assistant to support the Accounting & Finance Manager in our Nairobi manufacturing and warehousing operations. The role involves handling day‑to‑day bookkeeping, cash management and invoice processing to ensure smooth financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Enter accounting and bookkeeping data accurately.
• Maintain the petty cash book, record banking transactions and perform daily cash‑bank reconciliations.
• Post capital and goods purchase invoices, manage creditors ageing and assist with cash‑flow forecasts.
• Prepare and process supplier invoices, verify quantities and pricing, and coordinate credit note requests.
• File and keep organized records of invoices, delivery notes and related documents for easy retrieval and audit.
• Ensure all accounting processes comply with company policies and internal controls.

Required profile

• At least 2 years proven experience as an Accounts Assistant.
• Relevant accounting qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
• Team player with proactive communication.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
