Accounts Payable Assistant

About the role

Q-Sourcing Servtec, a manpower management solutions firm operating across East Africa, is recruiting an Accounts Payable Assistant to work in Nairobi on behalf of its client. The role maintains accounts payable transactions and supports the filing of all payable documents.

Key responsibilities

• Quality assurance: comply with finance and general SOPs and assist in internal and external audits.
• Finance operations: ensure supplier invoices are accurately captured in SAP and matched with purchase orders, and that payments are posted accurately and on time.
• Ensure vendor invoices are Etims compliant and approved by the departmental head before posting, and that suppliers are paid according to agreed terms.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve disputes with suppliers.
• File all vendor invoices (before and after payment) daily in labelled files alphabetically, together with all reconciliations.
• Support the trainings and projects within the finance department, and carry out other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Administration or Business Management.
• Preferred: semi-qualified accountant with CPA or ACCA.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.
