Accounts Payable Manager

About the role

The Accounts Payable Manager will lead the end‑to‑end payables function, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely supplier payments and robust financial controls. This role supports cash‑flow optimisation and provides critical reporting for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, from invoice receipt to payment and month‑end close.
• Lead and develop the accounts payable team, monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships, resolve payment issues and negotiate favourable terms.
• Enforce internal controls, validate approvals and support audit and regulatory compliance.
• Forecast cash‑flow requirements, manage liabilities and collaborate with finance on working‑capital efficiency.
• Ensure accurate reconciliations, reporting and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification such as CPAK or ACCA.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial accounts payable role.
• Proven experience managing high‑volume invoice processing environments.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage).
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• In‑depth understanding of IFRS and GAAP accounting standards.
• Solid grasp of financial controls and audit requirements.
