Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

The Accounts Payable Officer will join the finance team to manage daily accounts payable and receivable activities. You will process invoices, schedule payments, reconcile statements and support month‑end close, ensuring accurate financial records and timely vendor communication.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process supplier invoices in line with company policies.
• Prepare and schedule payments to vendors.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of all AP transactions.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support the finance team with ad‑hoc analysis, reporting and audit requests.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in accounts payable and general accounting support.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, SAP, Oracle, DEXT or Hubdoc.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Accurate data‑entry capabilities with high attention to detail.
