Adjunct Faculty – Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Management

About the role
The University seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Pharmaceutical Management and support its strategic fundraising initiatives. This full‑time position will be based in Nairobi and will contribute to scholarship, research, and infrastructure development.
Key responsibilities
- Research and identify local, regional and international grant opportunities aligned with the University’s strategic priorities.
- Develop high‑quality grant proposals, concept notes and funding applications.
- Coordinate proposal development with academic schools, research teams and administrative departments.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, foundations, corporate organisations, development agencies, alumni and strategic partners.
- Support fundraising campaigns, donor engagement initiatives and prepare compelling cases for support.
- Maintain accurate donor, grant and fundraising databases and monitor performance.
- Coordinate fundraising events, CSR programmes and donor stewardship activities.
- Recruit and manage volunteers for fundraising initiatives.
- Conduct due diligence on prospective partners to ensure compliance with University policies.
- Prepare periodic reports on fundraising performance, grants and partnership outcomes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, Communications, Marketing, International Relations, Public Relations, Project Management or a related field.
- Minimum of two years relevant experience in fundraising, grant writing, donor relations, partnership development or resource mobilisation.
- Demonstrated success in developing grant proposals and fundraising initiatives.
- Experience with donor‑funded programmes, NGOs, higher education institutions or development organisations is an advantage.
