Adjunct Instructor – Architecture & Facility Management

About the role

The Architecture and Facility Management Department at Ferris State University seeks part‑time, temporary adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in architectural technology, architecture and sustainability, and facility management. The position involves delivering in‑person instruction on one of the university's campuses in Michigan.

Key responsibilities

• Teach one or more courses in the AAS Architectural Technology, BS Architecture & Sustainability, or BS Facility Management programs.
• Prepare and deliver lecture materials, labs, and digital presentations.
• Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams.
• Maintain course records and adhere to university academic policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Architecture for 100‑200 level courses.
• NAAB‑accredited Bachelor or Master of Architecture, or related advanced degree for 300‑400 level architecture courses.
• Relevant bachelor’s and master’s degrees for 300‑400 level facility management courses.
• Professional experience in architectural design, construction detailing, or facility management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Residency in Michigan after acceptance.
