- Design conversational flows for real financial and operational tasks in African market contexts
- Run user research on trust, comprehension and safety in AI-driven money experiences
- Define and track metrics for AI features: task success, containment, trust and cost per interaction
- Map user journeys to find where an agent removes friction a form never could
- Research AI-native product patterns emerging in fintech globally and adapt them for local markets
- Present prototypes and learnings to stakeholders in weekly reviews
Required profile
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Computer Science, Design, Economics or a related field and requiring an industrial attachment for academic credit
- Institution must provide an attachment letter and an evaluation framework (logbook, supervisor assessment or equivalent)
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tools, already building and creating with them
- Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving and excellent written and verbal communication
- Curiosity about fintech and how AI changes what a product is
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Required skills
- Comfort with data analysis and basic spreadsheet or BI tools
- Nice to have: experience with product and design tools (Figma, Notion, Linear), basic technical literacy (APIs, databases, models), experience writing product specs or PRDs, and multilingual fluency relevant to African markets
