Application Support Engineer - DevOps

About the role

An immediate opening for an Application Support Engineer with a strong DevOps focus, supporting Java‑based applications across development, testing, and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and support Java/J2EE applications on servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic or WebSphere.
• Monitor application performance, availability and health to ensure business continuity.
• Troubleshoot deployment, environment and incident issues and drive timely resolution.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and release management using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git or similar tools.
• Collaborate with development, testing, infrastructure and business teams during deployments and production incidents.
• Analyse logs, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Perform post‑deployment validation and health checks.
• Participate in application upgrades, patches and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in application support, DevOps or production support roles.
• Strong experience deploying and supporting Java/J2EE applications.
• Good understanding of application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git) and Linux/Unix environments.
