Applications Specialist

About the role

The Applications Specialist ensures the availability, performance, and security of enterprise business applications, primarily supporting insurance systems. You will manage the full application lifecycle, from implementation through continuous improvement, applying ITIL best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line and second‑line support for all enterprise systems while meeting SLA targets.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to guarantee agreed service levels.
• Maintain and administer enterprise applications, including sizing, patching, and upgrades across SIT, QA, staging, and production environments.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, integration testing, performance testing, and deployment readiness.
• Drive process optimisation through data analytics, automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Apply ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and service request management.
• Promote DevOps, CI/CD, and modern application lifecycle management practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure, DevOps, or Scrum.
• Experience managing enterprise applications in a regulated environment such as insurance.
• Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and service‑delivery best practices.
