Architect Fellow – US Army Corps of Engineers

About the role

The Army Fellows Program is a two‑year developmental fellowship for recent graduates interested in architecture and civil infrastructure. As an Architect Fellow you will rotate through key functional areas, supporting projects that range from flood risk management to military facilities, while receiving structured training, mentorship, and hands‑on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare architectural sketches and study models.
• Assist in contract administration and quality‑assurance inspections of construction projects.
• Analyze field investigations and design conditions to recommend feasible, economical solutions.
• Review architectural shop drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract specifications.
• Propose methods for repairing, restoring, and improving existing facilities.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Recent graduate with a degree in Architecture or related field.
• Ability to obtain a Personnel Security Investigation and meet suitability/fitness determinations.
• Willingness to sign a mobility agreement and the Army Fellows Participant Agreement.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Selective Service certification.
