Area Depot Product & Operations Manager

About the role

The Area Depot Product and Operations Manager is accountable for the financial performance of the depot portfolio while leading product and operational activities across the area. The role ensures safe, compliant site operations, optimises yard utilisation and drives profitability, representing depot interests in area leadership forums.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the Area P&L for the depot, meeting financial targets.
• Lead depot product and operations, aligning execution with area priorities.
• Ensure safe, compliant and effective site operations across the depot footprint.
• Optimise depot utilisation, yard flow and operational performance to improve productivity and profitability.
• Manage costs, operating performance and resource utilisation to sustain financial health.
• Represent depot priorities in area leadership forums and align stakeholders.
• Lead transformation initiatives that enhance depot performance and business outcomes.
• Monitor performance via KPI and Bowler chart measures, identify gaps and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Experience in depot, terminal, logistics, shipping or related operations with strong operational and commercial performance exposure.
• Proven track record managing P&L and translating business targets into operational actions.
• Deep understanding of safe, compliant site operations, utilisation, yard flow and productivity management.
• Strong financial and analytical acumen to use performance data for issue identification and profitability improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills in a matrixed, cross‑functional environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change, transformation and embed sustainable operational improvements.
• Leadership capability to align teams around performance, safety, service and financial outcomes.
