Area Manager / Regional Business Manager

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Area Manager / Regional Business Manager to lead sales teams across major Indian cities. You will be responsible for driving growth, launching new products, and ensuring compliance in the dermatology segment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a multi‑city sales team to meet productivity and performance targets.
• Plan and execute pre‑launch and launch activities for new dermatology products, ensuring readiness across teams and key accounts.
• Develop and implement regional business plans aligned with brand strategy, and monitor progress through regular reviews.
• Deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based HCP engagement using value‑based selling techniques.
• Utilise sales analytics, prescription insights and market intelligence to optimise targeting and call effectiveness.
• Manage brand plan execution, KPI governance and risk mitigation across competition, access and supply.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Value & Access and Supply to resolve customer issues and improve patient access.
• Build relationships with key accounts and KOLs to generate advocacy and sustain demand.
• Oversee forecasting, budgeting, expense discipline and timely reporting.
• Ensure product availability through coordination with distribution and trade partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business or related field; MBA/PGDM preferred.
• 4–10 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 2 years in dermatology.
• 2–4 years of team‑leadership experience with proven coaching and performance‑management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive entry and demand in government accounts.
• Experience in pre‑launch planning and launch execution for specialty or innovative products.
