About the role

Urithi Wa Mama is looking for a dedicated Artisan to join its on‑site team in Biashara ward. You will create high‑quality handmade products that blend local traditions with contemporary design, supporting the community’s economic wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Produce handmade crafts according to detailed design specifications.
• Prepare and measure materials accurately, ensuring consistent product quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with fellow artisans and coordinators to refine designs and meet production timelines.
• Assist with packaging, basic stock organization, and inventory control.
• Participate occasionally in local markets or exhibitions to showcase products.

Required profile

• Demonstrated craftsmanship skills in areas such as weaving, beadwork, carving, or sewing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow design guidelines.
• Basic organizational abilities for tools, materials, and finished items.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a diverse environment.
