Assistant Camp General Manager

Bushwise is hiring an Assistant Camp General Manager in Kenya for a permanent position. Key responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with the overall management of camp/lodge operations.
• Lead and develop teams while fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
• Oversee daily Front of House and Back of House operations.
• Assist with budgets, financial controls, cost optimisation and capital projects.
• Maintain exceptional guest service and operational standards.
• Coordinate departmental activities, maintenance, food quality and guest experiences.
• Drive staff training, skills development and succession planning.
• Support conservation, sustainability and community development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and operational procedures.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of management experience.
• Hospitality or service industry experience, working with both guests and staff.
• Experience managing an operation with more than 30 beds.
• Ability to work under pressure, make independent decisions and work flexible hours.
• A passion for guest satisfaction, conservation, sustainability and community development.

Required skills

• Strong leadership, communication, coaching and people development skills.
• Excellent financial and commercial acumen.
