Assistant Director of Research, Consultancy & Partnerships

About the role

The Assistant Director of Research, Consultancy & Partnerships will lead the coordination, development and review of research and innovation policies, strategies and programmes at KISE. The role focuses on building local and international collaborations, overseeing patenting, and managing the dissemination of research outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate development, implementation and review of research and innovation policies, strategies, procedures and plans.
• Develop modalities for collaboration with external researchers and institutions.
• Identify national, regional and international innovative trends relevant to KISE.
• Oversee patenting of KISE research and innovations.
• Establish local and international partnerships to enrich research programmes.
• Coordinate dissemination of research and innovation information.
• Lead preparation of research and innovation reports.
• Manage the research and innovation database.
• Review research agendas, tools, proposals and concept papers.
• Monitor, review and benchmark research and innovation programmes against best practices.

Required profile

• Membership in a relevant professional body in good standing.
• Leadership course of at least four weeks from a recognized institution.
• Master’s degree in Special Needs Education, Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, Applied Research, Education Technology, Statistics, Economics or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in one of the above disciplines or equivalent.
• At least 12 years of relevant work experience, including three years at the grade of Principal Research and Innovation Officer or comparable position.
