Assistant Project Coordinator

About the role

Kaziweza Limited is seeking an Assistant Project Coordinator to support the delivery of security system projects in Nairobi. You will work closely with the Project Coordinator to ensure meetings, documentation, and site activities run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organise site meetings, draft agendas, take minutes and follow up on actions.
• Compile project status reports and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.
• Track tasks, deadlines, equipment and material usage, and coordinate deliveries to sites.
• Update project timelines, notify stakeholders of changes, and communicate with internal teams and clients.
• Conduct quality checks, report risks or delays, and ensure safety and security protocols are followed.
• Support transport coordination, travel documentation and site access requirements.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and share industry insights.
• Supervise team work allocation, manage client correspondence and coordinate with other departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 3‑4 years of experience in a technical or project support role, preferably in security systems or construction, with a minimum of two years in the current position.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software, with willingness to improve.
• Familiarity with electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms) is an advantage.
