Associate – Power & Infrastructure Advisory

About the role

Join the Power and Infrastructure Advisory team at CrossBoundary Advisory as an Associate based in Nairobi. You will support transaction execution, project management and business development to expand renewable energy and infrastructure investment across emerging markets.

Key responsibilities

• Support transaction execution, including structuring, fundraising, due diligence and preparation of client deliverables.
• Build and review financial models, perform sensitivity testing and scenario analysis.
• Conduct market research to inform client recommendations and internal decision‑making.
• Prepare presentations, reports, investment materials and briefing notes for internal and external audiences.
• Perform capital‑mapping analyses and maintain knowledge of relevant funding sources.
• Manage multiple workstreams, tracking deliverables, deadlines, budgets and client requests.
• Develop proposals, credentials, case studies and other business‑development materials.
• Support internal team operations, including meeting preparation, knowledge management and onboarding of analysts.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in project finance, renewable energy or infrastructure, gained at a financial advisor, developer, investment firm, DFI, lender or investment bank.
• Demonstrated ability to support development, financing or delivery of infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with a bias for action.
