Bakery Attendant

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a Bakery Attendant for a supermarket in Kangundo Road and Athi River. The role covers baking and production, food safety, quality control, stock support and display assistance. It is a full-time position with a stated salary of KShs 20,000.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake bread, pastries, cakes and other bakery products, following standardized recipes and production schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness in the baking area and follow food safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations.
• Ensure baked products meet quality standards in taste, appearance and texture, and remove expired or damaged items.
• Assist in receiving and organizing ingredients, monitor usage and report shortages.
• Operate ovens, mixers and proofers under supervision and keep equipment clean and maintained.
• Arrange baked goods attractively for display and help customers when needed.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of experience in baking within a commercial kitchen, bakery or supermarket bakery.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions and production schedules accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with good time management and reliability.

Required skills

• Basic baking techniques and food safety standards.
• Basic baking and food preparation skills.
• Attention to detail and consistency.
