Bancassurance Sales Representative – Rift Region

About the role

The Bancassurance Sales Representative will promote and sell life, general, medical and micro‑insurance products to customers in the Rift Region. Working closely with branch staff, the role integrates insurance solutions into everyday banking conversations and ensures smooth processing of policies and claims.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales of insurance products in allocated branches to meet individual and branch targets.
• Identify insurance opportunities by collaborating with branch staff and embedding insurance in daily banking interactions.
• Provide market intelligence, customer insights and competitor updates to support sales strategies.
• Support marketing campaigns, branch activations and customer outreach to generate leads.
• Deliver product knowledge and basic technical training to branch staff through huddles and on‑the‑job coaching.
• Serve as first point of contact for claims, assisting with documentation and escalation.
• Ensure timely submission, processing and follow‑up of policy issuance, endorsements and renewals.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with regulatory and internal standards.
• Build strong customer relationships through effective communication and consistent follow‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, Actuarial Science or a related field.
• Professional insurance certification (COP or ECOP) is mandatory.
• At least one year of experience in insurance, bancassurance or a financial institution.
• Experience in selling insurance products or financial solutions is an advantage.
