About the role
The Micro Marketing Field Promoter will work on‑site in Kakamega to boost the visibility of a lubricant brand and drive sales at the point of sale. The role requires a solid background in lubricants, automotive or mechanical trades and strong communication skills to engage workshop owners and mechanics.
Key responsibilities
- Increase product visibility at point of sale
- Create awareness for the client’s lubricant brand
- Collect field and competitor marketing insights
- Generate and follow up on sales leads
- Actively sell and drive volume on the ground
Required profile
- Background in lubricants, automotive or mechanical trade with a certificate or diploma in mechanical/automotive engineering (or hands‑on garage experience preferred)
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and stay away from home for up to a month at a stretch
- Prior experience in field sales, merchandising or brand promotion is an advantage
- Strong communication, negotiation and people skills; comfortable talking to mechanics and workshop owners
- Self‑driven, resilient and able to work independently while meeting daily/weekly field targets
- Basic reporting skills to capture and share field insights accurately
