Bancassurance Sales Representative - Western Region

About the role

National Bank of Kenya is hiring a Bancassurance Sales Representative for its Western Region, based in Westlands, Nairobi. The role sells insurance products and other products allocated from the Retail business, serving customers at the branch level with quick, seamless and responsive service.

Key responsibilities

• Sell life, general, medical and micro-insurance products in allocated branches to meet individual and branch targets.
• Identify insurance opportunities by working with branch staff and embedding insurance into daily banking conversations.
• Share market intelligence, customer insights and competitor updates to support sales strategy and revenue growth.
• Support marketing campaigns, branch activations and customer outreach to generate leads and close business.
• Train branch staff on product knowledge and basic technical skills through huddles and on-the-job coaching.
• Take part in sales meetings and share ideas that improve sales productivity and customer engagement.
• Act as first point of contact for claims, helping with initial documentation and escalating cases appropriately.
• Ensure timely submission, processing and follow-up of insurance business, and collect accurate documentation for policy issuance, endorsements and renewals.
• Build customer relationships through effective communication and consistent follow-up.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in insurance, Business, Actuarial Science or a related field.
• Mandatory professional certification in insurance, COP or ECOP.
• At least 1 year of experience in insurance, bancassurance or a financial institution; experience selling insurance products is an added advantage.
