About the role
Durham International School is looking for an enthusiastic Barista to run its on‑site coffee shop, serving staff, students, parents and visitors. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality hot and cold beverages while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and efficiency of the coffee shop area.
- Create a friendly, welcoming environment for all customers.
Required profile
- Customer‑focused with strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and uphold high service standards.
- Reliability, enthusiasm and a passion for hospitality.
Required skills
- Proficiency in coffee brewing methods, latte art and specialty beverage preparation.
- Experience with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
