Behavior Analyst – Community Homes

About the role

The Behavior Analyst will lead the development and implementation of behavior support plans for individuals with challenging behaviors in community home settings. This hybrid role requires on‑site work three days per week and occasional travel to residential sites. The analyst collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure ethical and effective interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead functional behavior assessments (direct and indirect) and conduct regular behavior observations across environments.
• Develop, implement, and adjust behavior support plans using current ethical practices of behavior analysis.
• Create data‑collection systems, monitor, graph, and analyze behavioral data to inform plan effectiveness.
• Collaborate with staff to address behavior problems, model interventions, and provide crisis response as needed.
• Participate in team meetings, supervise BCBAs in training, and consult with other professionals on psychology‑related issues.
• Communicate behavioral status to parents or guardians and obtain necessary approvals.

Required profile

• BCBA or NY LBA certification with a Master’s degree; certification must be maintained.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads; must meet vehicle‑driving requirements.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and deadline management.
• Physical ability to perform on‑site interventions and respond to behavioral emergencies.
