Bid Manager

About the role

The Bid Manager leads the end‑to‑end bid and tender process for our organization, ensuring timely, compliant, and competitive proposals for government agencies, development partners, private‑sector clients and NGOs across Kenya and East Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor tender portals (PPIP, IFMIS, MyGov, AGPO, donor and NGO portals) and assess opportunities for strategic fit.
• Lead cross‑functional bid teams, develop detailed schedules and ensure internal deadlines are met.
• Interpret tender documents, create compliance matrices and draft technical and financial proposals.
• Work with finance to develop competitive pricing and ensure all statutory documents are included.
• Maintain compliance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (PPADA) 2015 and conduct quality reviews before submission.
• Liaise with procurement entities, clients and partners to clarify requirements and manage post‑submission activities.
• Maintain accurate bid registers, trackers and documentation for audit purposes.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing bids and tenders, preferably in the public sector or development‑partner environment.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan procurement regulations (PPADA) and related compliance requirements.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent written communication and proposal development skills.
