Branch Manager - Nakuru Branch

About the role

The Branch Manager at the Nakuru branch of AG German Institute provides strategic leadership, ensures operational excellence and drives the growth of the branch. The role covers oversight of daily academic and administrative functions and reports to the Directors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all branch operations so that academic and non-academic functions are delivered smoothly, represent the school professionally to clients, parents, partners, regulators and visitors, and oversee the upkeep of school infrastructure.
• Supervise teaching and administrative staff, monitoring punctuality, attendance, conduct and adherence to policy, and report performance or disciplinary issues to the Directors.
• Take responsibility for student conduct, attendance and discipline, follow up on absentees and disengaged students, encourage students to sit their scheduled exams on time, and handle student complaints.
• Coordinate with teachers so that lessons, mock exams and examinations are scheduled, resourced and executed, and monitor student progress data to flag underperforming cohorts.
• Prepare monthly reports to the Directors and perform other duties assigned by them.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Management, Business Administration or a related field; a master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience, ideally as a Branch/Campus Manager or Operations Manager in a learning institution or corporate education environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Trustworthy and discreet, authoritative but fair, organized, proactive, resilient and commercially minded.

Required skills

• Confident use of MS Office / Google Workspace, email and basic school management or record-keeping systems.
