Lecturer (Radiology & Imaging) - AN Scale

About the role

KMTC is recruiting a Lecturer (AN scale) in Radiology & Imaging for its Westlands campus in Nairobi. The post covers teaching, assessment and curriculum implementation in radiological imaging.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and evaluate students
• Prepare schemes of work, lesson notes and lesson plans
• Assess students in clinical areas
• Guide and counsel students on academic matters
• Support the design of instruments to assess health training needs
• Develop guidelines for evaluating health teaching materials
• Evaluate training programmes for effectiveness and relevance
• Implement the competence-based curriculum
• Plan and organise continuing education programmes for health workers
• Conduct research in the area of specialisation and supervise student research projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Radiography, OR a KMTC Higher Diploma in Ultrasonography, Radiation Therapy, Computerized Tomography or Magnetic Resonance Imaging with at least six years of practice in the relevant field
• Registration with the Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK)
• Valid practicing license
