Business Development Executive

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to drive growth for our pet services division. Based in Nairobi's Westlands area, you will identify new opportunities, build client relationships, and support the sales cycle from lead generation to closing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and prospecting to uncover new business opportunities.
• Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and field visits.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and track progress.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with existing and new customers.
• Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and sales pitches.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and trends, and report on sales performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, marketing or business development.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
