About the role
Uliza Events, a provider of event identification products and logistics solutions, is seeking a Business Development Executive to expand its footprint in Kenya and international markets. You will be responsible for generating new business, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies for local and overseas markets.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new clients, partners, and revenue streams.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event organizers, agencies, distributors and other stakeholders.
- Generate leads through research, networking, referrals, calls, email, social media and other channels.
- Conduct sales presentations, product demos, negotiations and prepare proposals, quotations and commercial presentations.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline in the company’s CRM and follow up leads to conversion.
- Research international markets to locate potential distributors, agents and corporate clients.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with Operations, Customer Experience, Logistics, Design and Accounts teams to ensure successful order execution.
- Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities with existing clients.
- Represent Uliza Events at meetings, networking events, exhibitions and conferences.
- Meet and exceed assigned business development and revenue targets and report on performance.
Required profile
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships or account management.
- Proven track record of generating leads and converting prospects into paying clients.
- Strong understanding of the sales and business development cycle.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English, able to engage both local and international clients.
- Experience using CRM systems and maintaining an organized sales pipeline.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify revenue opportunities.
- Ability to conduct market research and pinpoint international business partners.
- Self‑driven, target‑oriented and able to work independently.
