Business Development Executive – Poultry Sales (Ksh 50K)

About the role

The client is a fast‑growing poultry abattoir and integrated poultry operation based in Ruiru, Kenya. They need a dynamic Business Development Executive to expand the processed chicken brand across Nairobi and surrounding areas, combining direct sales with van‑based delivery and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned routes daily using a company van to sell processed chicken products to wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, hotels and institutional buyers.
• Leverage and grow an existing customer pipeline, acquire 4–6 new active customers each week, and achieve weekly revenue and volume targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing to adapt sales strategies and provide feedback to management.
• Load, transport and deliver orders, ensuring product quality, correct quantities and timely arrival while handling cash collections and invoicing.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, deliveries, stock levels and returns; submit daily/weekly sales reports and forecasts.

Required profile

• At least 2 years proven sales experience in the poultry/processed chicken or FMCG sector, with a focus on van sales or direct‑to‑customer selling.
• Established pipeline of active customers in Nairobi and surrounding markets (wholesalers, retailers, HoReCa).
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean record and experience driving a sales van.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a target‑driven environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, high initiative and ability to work independently in a field‑based role.
