Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a results‑driven Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives for our manufacturing and cleaning‑chemical portfolio. You will shape market expansion strategies, build key partnerships, and drive revenue in the Nairobi region.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute business development plans to achieve revenue targets and enter new market segments.
• Identify and secure strategic partnerships, distribution channels, and high‑value contracts.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key customers, distributors and corporate accounts, focusing on upselling and cross‑selling.
• Conduct market research, monitor competitor activity, and provide intelligence for product positioning.
• Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports and performance dashboards for senior management.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, production and operations teams to align business objectives.
• Represent the company at client meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum four years of experience in business development, sales or marketing, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful growth strategies.
• Professional qualifications in Sales, Marketing or Business Development are an advantage.
