Business Development & Product Manager – ICT Solutions (SACCO Sector)

About the role

This position leads business growth and product strategy for an ICT solutions provider targeting Kenya’s SACCO sector. The successful candidate will combine strong sales expertise, deep industry relationships, and product management skills to drive digital transformation in financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies aimed at SACCOs and other financial institutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with CEOs, boards, ICT managers and senior decision‑makers.
• Identify, pursue and close new business opportunities, managing the sales pipeline from prospecting to contract signing.
• Prepare compelling proposals, presentations and tender submissions.
• Lead commercial negotiations and represent the company at industry events.
• Manage the enterprise ICT solutions portfolio, conducting market research to spot emerging needs.
• Define product positioning, pricing and go‑to‑market plans in collaboration with technology partners and internal teams.
• Monitor product performance, gather customer feedback and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop long‑term account strategies, cross‑sell and upsell solutions, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Track competitor activity, procurement trends and regulatory changes affecting the SACCO market.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, product management or strategic account management.
• Established network and strong relationships within the SACCO sector.
• Proven track record of closing complex sales cycles and negotiating contracts.
