Business Growth and Development Manager

About the role

The Business Growth and Development Manager will lead the branch’s strategic initiatives, drive sales across all products, and build profitable relationships with customers, communities and government bodies. This senior position reports to senior leadership and is responsible for achieving growth, profitability and brand visibility targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement branch business initiatives and turnaround strategies aligned with overall corporate goals.
• Lead sales teams, conduct sales drives and nurture partnerships to increase revenue and market share.
• Oversee brand visibility, marketing activities and community engagement to strengthen the bank’s image.
• Manage people performance, succession planning, staff motivation and compliance with HR policies.
• Control branch costs, monitor budgets and ensure compliance with regulatory and risk frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role within banking, micro‑finance or similar financial institutions.
• Proven track record in sales, business growth and team leadership.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation abilities.
