Business Manager – Americas

About the role

Evonik is seeking a Business Manager for the Americas region to drive growth, profitability, and solution development for its Oxeno product portfolio, with a focus on the Vestoplast line. The role covers the United States and Canada directly and provides consultancy support for Mexico and Brazil.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve volume, sales, contribution margin, and net working capital targets for the assigned product segment.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors, and internal functions to gather market insight and forecast demand.
• Prepare and present CRM, market, and project reports on customer visits, growth opportunities, pricing trends, and competitor activity.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including offers, contracts, credit management, logistics coordination, and negotiation of terms and pricing within approved ranges.
• Oversee accounts receivable recovery, dunning processes, and complaint resolution in collaboration with the AR team.
• Support the implementation of global and regional strategies in partnership with business line leaders, segment heads, and supply‑chain teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial management or sales leadership within the chemicals or industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, pricing strategy, and margin management.
• Ability to work across multiple countries and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems for reporting and customer management.
• Familiarity with the IMPAX approach for market insight gathering.
