Business Research Analyst

About the role

The Business Research Analyst works closely with the Sales Coordinator and Real Estate Advisors to generate macro‑level market intelligence across East Africa and beyond. By identifying high‑growth sectors and promising companies, the analyst creates a pipeline of qualified corporate prospects that fuels data‑driven sales strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct continuous market research on target industries, economic trends, investment flows, logistics, retail, data centres, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, SEZ developments and infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed company intelligence profiles covering revenue, ownership, geographic footprint, facilities, expansion plans and financial strength.
• Generate qualified leads by building and maintaining comprehensive databases of target companies and decision‑makers.
• Produce regular industry reports, market opportunity briefs, sector analyses, competitor assessments and country investment summaries.
• Support sales activities by preparing prospect briefs, benchmark data, financial models, SEZ intelligence and proposal materials.
• Represent Tatu City at investment forums, trade missions and industry conferences, and maintain a market intelligence database of leading players.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience in market research, business intelligence, strategy consulting, corporate finance or commercial real‑estate research.
• Strong analytical mindset with commercial awareness and curiosity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present findings clearly to senior management.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Mature, energetic, pragmatic and flexible approach with sound commercial judgment.
