Business / Sales Manager – Crop Protection & Biologicals

About the role

The Business / Sales Manager for Crop Protection & Biologicals will lead the delivery of high‑quality service and build strong relationships with key partners in the ESCA region. Based in Nairobi, the role drives sales execution, develops proactive account plans, and ensures alignment across account management, distribution, retail execution, and inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of key accounts, aligning activities with the Cluster Business Strategy.
• Set realistic sales forecasts and targets, adapting to market dynamics.
• Identify and resolve customer challenges to create business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
• Inspire high performance across the sales team and ensure delivery of sales goals within the assigned territory.
• Oversee inventory management and third‑party warehousing support.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including Marketing, Regulatory, Agronomy, Finance, Supply Chain, and Stewardship.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Business Management or a related field; MBA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in agriculture or a sales‑oriented organization.
• Strong understanding of the Crop Protection & Biologicals market.
• Proven ability to lead through influence, execute strategically, and communicate effectively in English.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving, attention to detail, and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
