Business Transformation Advisor

About the role

Stanford Seed is seeking a Business Transformation Advisor to partner with small and medium enterprise (SME) leaders across East Africa. The advisor will translate Stanford’s curriculum into practical, context‑specific guidance and help founders develop medium‑to‑long‑term growth plans.

Key responsibilities

• Translate Stanford Seed’s curriculum (strategy, marketing, finance, operations, etc.) into actionable insights for each SME.
• Advise founders and senior teams on applying frameworks to build holistic transformation plans.
• Facilitate immersive workshops and small‑group leadership circles, both in‑person and virtual.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner, guiding leadership engagements and growth planning stages.
• Travel across the region (30‑40% of time) to support participating companies.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with SMEs or entrepreneurs in emerging markets.
• Strong ability to contextualize academic content for real‑world business environments.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across East Africa.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting (office and remote).
