Cambridge Year 7-9 English & Literature Resident Teacher

About the role

Nova Pioneer is seeking an experienced Cambridge Year 7‑9 English & Literature Resident Teacher for its Athi River International campus. The role involves delivering a 21st‑century learning experience and may include teaching Computing, Global Perspectives and Humanities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lessons in line with the Cambridge curriculum, develop schemes of work and set assessments.
• Provide a safe, engaging environment, organise activities such as games, arts, crafts, music and storytelling, and monitor student progress.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for creative play and learning, supervise field trips and experiential projects, and maintain equipment safety.
• Maintain records of student development, produce written reports for principals and parents, and attend professional development sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably with Cambridge curriculum exposure.
• Valid TSC certificate and a relevant degree or diploma in Education.
• Ability to teach Computing/Digital Literacy and prepare learners for Year 9 Checkpoint and IGCSE exams is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, problem‑solving attitude and comfort with technology.
