Cashier – Retail Supermarket (Full‑time)

About the role

The Cashier will work in a Quickmart supermarket, processing customer payments and handling cash transactions accurately. This on‑site, full‑time position requires a high school diploma and strong customer‑service abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Process payments using the point‑of‑sale system and issue receipts.
• Handle cash, credit, and mobile money transactions while maintaining accuracy.
• Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
• Assist customers with product queries and direct them to appropriate aisles.
• Maintain a tidy checkout area and ensure compliance with store policies.
• Report any cash discrepancies or technical issues to the supervisor promptly.

Required profile

• Kenyan citizen, 18 years or older, with a valid National ID.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Disciplined, team‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks.
• Basic numeracy and familiarity with simple computer operations.
