Chemical Engineer for Design and Sales of Industrial Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a technically competent and commercially driven Chemical Engineer to support the design, selection, costing, sales, and technical support of heat exchangers and industrial scrubber systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and size shell‑and‑tube, plate, air‑cooled and other heat‑exchanger systems based on process requirements.
• Design and select wet, packed‑bed, venturi and other gas‑cleaning scrubber systems.
• Perform engineering calculations including heat and mass balances, heat‑transfer, pressure‑drop, fluid‑flow and equipment sizing.
• Select construction materials considering temperature, pressure, corrosion and chemical compatibility.
• Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs and equipment layouts.
• Review customer process data and recommend suitable solutions, prepare quotations, proposals and tender documents.
• Conduct customer meetings, presentations, site visits and provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with fabrication, procurement and project teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards and customer specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer, mass transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and process engineering.
• Knowledge of heat‑exchanger and scrubber design principles.
• Ability to interpret process conditions such as flow rate and temperature.
