Chief Operating Officer – Digital Business Unit

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will support the Managing Director and the Digital Business Unit (DBU) in delivering the strategic plan across multiple functional teams. This cross‑cutting role provides finance, performance management, portfolio governance and operating model leadership to ensure the DBU operates profitably, compliantly and at pace.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the MD and ExCo to translate DBU strategy into coordinated execution and set KPIs.
• Own the DBU performance framework, quarterly business reviews and benefits realisation.
• Drive scaling of digital platforms, process improvement, automation and transformation programmes.
• Govern enterprise portfolio, prioritising initiatives, allocating resources and overseeing investment decisions.
• Lead the DBU finance function, including budgeting, cost tracking and financial reporting.

Required profile

• 10+ years senior operations, finance business partnering or portfolio management experience.
• Proven track record scaling digital or fintech services and leading transformation programmes.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with P&L, budgeting and data‑driven decision making.
• Deep understanding of the insurance industry and its regulatory environment.
