Chinese Translator

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Chinese Translator to enable clear communication between Mandarin‑speaking staff and local teams in a manufacturing setting. The role involves interpreting spoken language and translating written materials to support daily operations and cross‑cultural collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret verbal communication between Mandarin and English/Swahili during meetings, training sessions, and routine interactions.
• Translate documents, manuals, reports, and business correspondence accurately.
• Facilitate smooth communication between management and employees.
• Maintain confidentiality of all translated information.
• Perform additional translation‑related tasks as required.

Required profile

• Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Translation, Linguistics, International Relations or a related field.
• HSK Level 1‑4 certification (mandatory); Mandarin Language Certificate is a plus.
• Minimum one year of translation or interpretation experience; fresh graduates with strong Mandarin skills are welcome.
• Excellent spoken and written Mandarin and English; knowledge of Swahili is advantageous.
• High attention to detail, professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
