Civil/Structural Quality Control Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Civil and Structural Quality Control Engineer to ensure that all construction activities comply with approved designs, specifications and industry standards. The role involves inspection, testing, documentation and coordination to guarantee high‑quality civil and structural works throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and company standards.
• Review and approve method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs) and material submittals.
• Conduct regular site inspections of earthworks, foundations, reinforced‑concrete works, formwork, structural steel, finishing and landscaping.
• Coordinate laboratory and field testing such as concrete cube tests and soil compaction tests.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective/Preventive Action (CAPA) reports.
• Track and close out NCRs in collaboration with site teams and provide periodic quality reports to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least 10 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 7 years in structural engineering and quality control.
• Extensive experience with reinforced‑concrete residential and multi‑storey buildings, foundations, engineered fill and retaining structures.
• Proven experience in construction‑stage structural inspection, certification and dealing with Kenyan construction regulations and authorities.

Required skills
