Clinic Partner – Medical Director

About the role

Runda Oaks Medical is launching a new private primary‑care clinic in Westlands, Nairobi. We are looking for an experienced Medical Director to lead clinical affairs, provide direct patient care, and shape the clinic’s clinical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the Principal General Practitioner, delivering high‑quality outpatient primary care.
• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all medical staff and services.
• Lead the establishment of the clinic, including development of protocols, standards, and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and clinical‑governance requirements.
• Mentor and support clinical staff, fostering continuous improvement and patient safety.
• Participate in strategic planning and decision‑making for medical service delivery.
• Monitor and maintain quality‑assurance and clinical audit processes.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MBChB or equivalent) registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council, with a valid practicing licence.
• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification clinical experience.
• At least 3 years in a senior leadership role such as Medical Director, Head of Department, or Clinic Lead.
• Strong general‑practice/primary‑care clinical skills.
• Proven leadership, team‑management and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in clinic setup, service development or operational leadership is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and a collaborative, patient‑centred approach.
