Clinical Officer – Katani

About the role

Equity Afia is seeking a dedicated Clinical Officer to join its Katani health facility. You will deliver comprehensive patient care, from diagnosis and treatment to preventive services, while supporting public health initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat common medical and surgical conditions.
• Provide preventive care and health education to patients.
• Participate in community health and public‑health programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, and clinical standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and generate clinical reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine.
• Registered with the Clinical Officers Council and hold a valid practicing license.
• Minimum one (1) year post‑internship experience in a public or private hospital.
• At least one (1) year of experience working in a busy health facility.
• Knowledge of non‑communicable disease (NCD) management.
• Certificates in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Proficient computer skills for data entry, analysis, and report generation.
