Commercial Broiler Farm Manager – 20,000 Birds

About the role

Tayba Farms Limited is seeking a hands‑on Commercial Broiler Farm Manager to oversee a 20,000‑bird unit in Isenya, Kajiado County. The position is full‑time, residential for the duration of each grow‑out cycle, and reports directly to the Farm Owner/Managing Director.

Key responsibilities

• Manage brooding, feeding, lighting, and water distribution to meet target weights and feed conversion ratios.
• Control open‑sided curtain systems and cross‑ventilation fans to maintain optimal temperature and airflow.
• Conduct daily uniformity checks, crop‑fill sampling, and weekly weight sampling.
• Implement vaccination, deworming, and water sanitation programs; perform necropsies on mortalities and apply corrective actions.
• Enforce strict biosecurity measures, including vehicle disinfection, footbaths, and protective gear.
• Supervise and train five farm attendants on feeding, litter management, drinker sanitation, and mortality collection.
• Lead deep cleaning, litter removal, pressure washing, disinfection, and pest control between cycles.
• Maintain daily flock logs and prepare end‑of‑cycle performance reports.

Required profile

• Veterinary or animal‑husbandry background.
• Minimum 24 months of experience managing commercial broiler operations.
• Proven ability to lead a small team in a residential farm setting.
• Strong understanding of disease prevention and biosecurity.
