Commercial & Marketing Manager

About the role

The Commercial & Marketing Manager will drive revenue growth and brand visibility for a hospitality venue in Nairobi. You will lead digital marketing, event programming and partnership development to attract corporate, community and leisure audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new revenue streams such as sponsorships, corporate functions, themed events and strategic partnerships.
• Monitor competitor activity and recommend pricing, promotions and positioning strategies.
• Plan, execute and optimise all digital marketing campaigns across social platforms.
• Coordinate creative content production, including photography and video.
• Develop and manage an annual calendar of major sporting events, live entertainment, corporate networking evenings, food festivals, product launches, holiday promotions and community events.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporates, embassies, NGOs, sports clubs, universities, professional associations and community organisations.
• Oversee Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google Business Profile and website updates to ensure content reflects authentic Kenyan cuisine, live sports experience and the venue’s atmosphere.
• Monitor online reputation, respond promptly to customer reviews, and prepare monthly management reports covering revenue, campaign performance, event profitability, customer acquisition & retention, social media metrics, corporate sales pipeline and market intelligence.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (approximately 5 years) in commercial and marketing roles, preferably within hospitality or events.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret data and produce actionable recommendations.
• Proven track record of building corporate partnerships and driving revenue growth.
• Excellent communication skills and a keen understanding of the Kenyan market.
