Commercial Trainee – Nairobi, Kenya

About the role

Join ADM’s Commercial Trainee program in Nairobi and gain hands‑on exposure to agricultural commodity markets across Africa. You will support trading, sales, marketing and business development teams while building relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in executing commercial strategies for commodity trading and sales.
• Analyze market trends, supply‑demand dynamics and competitive landscapes.
• Participate in pricing, contract management, logistics coordination and risk management activities.
• Work on strategic projects and present recommendations to senior leaders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across different countries and business units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Food Technology or related field.
• 0–2 years of professional experience.
• Strong interest in commercial business, sales, marketing, customer engagement and market analysis.
• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and eager to learn.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to relocate across African countries during the program.
