Commission-Based Sales Agent - Insurance

About the role

APA Insurance Limited, part of the Apollo Investments group, is hiring a full-time, commission-based Sales Agent working on site in Mombasa. The agent identifies and approaches prospective clients, presents APA Insurance products and provides tailored solutions across general and health insurance lines.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads and conduct client meetings
• Explain policy features and benefits and prepare quotations
• Support clients through the policy enrollment process
• Maintain ongoing relationships with policyholders, handle inquiries and follow up on renewals
• Ensure high standards of customer service and work with branch teams
• Take part in product and sales training and aim to meet or exceed sales targets

Required profile

• A certificate, diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance or a related field is an added advantage
• Prior experience in insurance, financial services or field sales is beneficial; motivated entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and act ethically in a target-driven, commission-based environment

Required skills

• Strong communication, customer service and sales skills
• Insurance knowledge of APA products, underwriting basics, policy terms and compliance
• Willingness to learn and apply new knowledge from training
• Desirable: basic computer proficiency and accurate record keeping
