Communications and Marketing Associate

About the role

The Communications and Marketing Associate will support the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies for Aga Khan School, Mombasa. The role involves creating content, managing social media, assisting with events, and analysing campaign performance to enhance brand awareness and engage target audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead public‑facing marketing initiatives and manage three open days per year and two career days for each school.
• Plan, promote and support school events such as sports and swimming galas, ensuring proper branding and data‑protection compliance.
• Capture photography and videography of key events and maintain a repository of visual assets.
• Update the school’s website section and ensure all public‑facing communications are approved by the line manager.
• Assist the Central Office with media event coordination, invitations and updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication or Digital Media.
• Minimum two years of relevant work experience; experience in a school setting is an advantage.
• Adobe Suite certification or proven experience with Adobe tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
• Photography and videography for event coverage.
