Communications and Reporting Consultant

About the role

The Communications and Reporting Consultant will support advocacy and communications efforts to amplify attention and create awareness on the impact of UN Women’s work, especially ahead of key regional milestones such as the African Union’s Convention on ending VAWG and Beijing+30 commemorations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation and monitoring of strategic communication plans for EVAWG and ACT programmes.
• Produce monthly communication packages, design high‑impact campaigns, and create social‑media content for platforms like Twitter/X, LinkedIn and Facebook.
• Provide technical assistance and help‑desk support to ACT partners, develop toolkits, templates and content calendars.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date communication asset library and design a visibility and results dashboard.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field (or equivalent combination of degree and experience).
• Minimum 1 year progressive experience in communication, visibility or advocacy, preferably in gender or development contexts.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Mailchimp.
• Experience with social‑media analytics tools.
• Familiarity with Drupal CMS, Microsoft Teams and UN publishing standards.
